This Acceptable Use Policy outlines the activities that are not allowed on Skiro. It supplements our Terms of Service and applies to anyone using our payment platform, including merchants and their end customers.
We try to be reasonable. The goal is to keep Skiro available for legitimate businesses and to stay within the rules of the card networks, banking partners, and regulators we work with.

2. Activities that require additional review
Some businesses are not prohibited but require manual review and may have higher fees, lower limits, or stricter chargeback rules:
- Adult content (where legally distributed) for verified-age audiences.

- Firearms accessories where the underlying product is legal.
- Travel agencies and ticket resellers.
- Subscription boxes and continuity programs.
- Digital goods marketplaces with user-generated listings.
If you operate in any of these spaces, contact us before going live. We will tell you what we need to onboard you safely.
3. Security and abuse
You may not use Skiro’s infrastructure to:
- Test stolen card numbers (carding) or perform brute-force authorization attempts.
- Access another merchant’s account, transactions, or API keys without authorization.
- Probe, scan, or attempt to bypass our security controls outside of our responsible disclosure program.
- Send spam, mass unsolicited messages, or phishing content using checkout or webhook URLs.
- Reverse-engineer the SDK or API in a way that violates the license.
4. How we enforce this policy
We monitor transactions for patterns that suggest violations and we accept reports from cardholders, partners, and the public. When we identify a potential violation we typically:
- Reach out for clarification or supporting documents.
- Place a temporary hold on suspect transactions while we investigate.
- Resume normal operations if the activity is legitimate.
- Suspend or terminate the account if the activity is prohibited.
Severe violations (CSAM, sanctions evasion, etc.) may be terminated immediately and reported to the relevant authorities without prior notice.
5. Reporting violations
If you believe a Skiro merchant is violating this policy, email abuse@skiro.io with as much detail as you can provide, including the merchant name, transaction reference, and a description of the activity. Reports are reviewed by our compliance team and we respond within 5 business days.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when card network rules, regulatory requirements, or our risk assessment change. Updates take effect 14 days after we post them, except for changes required to comply with law or to address an immediate risk, which may take effect sooner.
7. Contact us
Questions about whether your business is allowed on Skiro? Email compliance@skiro.io. We’d rather have a quick conversation up front than have to suspend your account later.
